September is National Homeschool Month

August, 2003 -- Homeschooling is not just a new trend this season. It's in fact the oldest form of education known to man. Through the centuries, parents have taught their children at home and produced many well educated examples of the benefits of homeschool.

The list of homeschool alumni include presidents such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln, inventors Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell, artists Claude Monet and Leonardo da Vinci, authors Mark Twain, C.S. Lewis, and Agatha Christie, and modern heroines Sandra Day O'Connor, and Sally Ride.

Today's homeschoolers are outscoring school children on standardized tests, winning national competitions, and becoming the leaders of the future.
